We Drive. We Help. We Wait.

Sakeena Operations provides pre-scheduled, door-through-door — or as we at Sakeena like to say, assistance through the door — non-emergency medical and accessible transportation for adults in Liberty, New York and across Sullivan County. For surgery recovery, ongoing treatment, and mobility-limited travel: your driver helps from inside your door, stays through your appointment, and doesn't leave until you're safely settled.

✓ Assistance through the door ✓ Wait & Stay by arrangement ✓ Trained, healthcare-aware drivers ✓ Family updated by call & text

The phone call every family knows

The hospital calls: "Your mother is ready for discharge Thursday."

And suddenly it's all on you. You live an hour and a half away. You can't take another day off work. She can't climb into your brother's truck with a new hip. The taxi company doesn't answer. The ride-share driver — if one accepts — won't help her up the porch steps, and he's certainly not waiting around during Friday's follow-up.

You don't need a ride. You need someone who treats the trip like part of her care.

That's what Sakeena Operations was built for. We plan every trip around the person — not just the pickup. We help from inside the door, we secure every walker and wheelchair properly, we stay on site through the appointment, and we don't leave until she's safely back in her favorite chair. Then we text you: she's home.

You stay the son or daughter. We'll be the transportation.

Planned Like Care, Not Called Like A Cab

How does door-through-door transportation work?

Door-through-door transportation means your driver assists you from inside your starting door to inside your destination — not curb to curb. At Sakeena, we simply call it assistance through the door, because that's what it really is: early arrival, trained help with walkers and wheelchairs, an agreed return pickup or separately quoted Wait & Stay arrangement, and a "home safe" text to your family. It's the difference between being dropped off and being cared for.

Plan the trip

Request online or call (845) 428-0303. We confirm every trip personally — your quote, your pickup window, your driver's plan.

We arrive early

Your driver comes to the door — not the curb — and secures every mobility device properly before we move.

We wait with you

Your driver stays on site through your appointment. No re-booking a return. No stranger. No stranded.

Home, all the way in

Up the steps, through the door, safely settled. Your family gets the "home safe" text.

The Sakeena Standard

Assistance through the door is included on every trip, wherever it's safe and permitted — a few common-sense limits apply, like secure areas past airport screening, restricted areas inside facilities, and assistance that requires medical staff. We'll always tell you exactly what to expect when we confirm your trip.

Why Families In Sullivan County Choose Sakeena

More than a ride. A plan.

✓ An experience no ride company offers

Ride-shares leave when the door closes. Ambulettes feel like an ambulance. Sakeena is the third option nobody else built: transportation that behaves like care. Every trip is door-through-door — assistance through the door, the way we say it — we wait during appointments, we walk you inside, and a companion always rides free. That's not an upgrade. That's every trip.

✓ Trained for the moments that matter

Our drivers complete Passenger Assistance, Safety & Sensitivity (PASS) training, professional wheelchair securement, defensive driving, and CPR/First Aid — with training through an AAA-accredited education provider. When your rider has a new hip, an infusion port, or a wheelchair, "careful" isn't a personality trait. It's a certification.

✓ Judged by one result: safely there, safely home

On time for the appointment. Present for the wait. Patient at the steps. Confirmed by text to the family. We measure every single trip against that standard — and it's why discharge planners and families can hand us their hardest transportation days with confidence.

Good Questions

Questions families ask us

What does door-through-door transportation mean?

Door-through-door transportation means the driver assists you from inside your starting door to inside your destination — not curb to curb. At Sakeena Operations we call it assistance through the door: mobility equipment secured, waiting arranged in advance, and a "home safe" confirmation to your family, on every trip.

What is non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)?

Non-emergency medical transportation is pre-scheduled transportation for people who need help getting to healthcare appointments but don't need an ambulance — like riders recovering from surgery, receiving treatment, or using a wheelchair. Sakeena Operations provides private-pay NEMT throughout Sullivan County, NY with assistance through the door included.

Do you really wait during the appointment?

Ask for a Wait & Stay arrangement if you need the driver and vehicle reserved during your appointment. Reserved waiting is quoted separately at $45 per started hour for ambulatory travel or $55 for wheelchair-accessible travel, with a one-hour minimum. A scheduled return pickup does not hold the vehicle on site.

Can you transport someone in a wheelchair?

Yes. Our vehicle is wheelchair-accessible, and every driver is trained in professional wheelchair securement. Qualifying local wheelchair trips start at $95 one way or $190 for a same-day round trip. Extra distance, reserved waiting and other disclosed costs are shown in the quote.

How is this different from a taxi or Uber?

Three ways: our drivers are trained for medical and mobility needs, we help door-through-door instead of curb-to-curb, and we wait on site instead of leaving after drop-off. Ride-shares also can't guarantee a vehicle for a 7 a.m. discharge in Sullivan County — we schedule it and we show up.

Do you take Medicaid or insurance?

We're a private-pay service — which is exactly why we can guarantee scheduling, wait time, and hands-on help that insurance transportation doesn't offer. Many families use Sakeena when insurance covers the medical care but not dependable transportation home.

How do I book a ride for my parent if I live out of the area?

Happens every day. Request the trip online or call (845) 428-0303, and we coordinate directly with you, your parent, and the facility — then keep you updated by call or text from pickup to "home safe."

The appointment is scheduled.
Now the ride is too.

Tell us about the trip — a discharge date, a treatment cycle, or a Catskills visit — and we'll come back with one clear plan and one clear price.

Every request answered personally, usually within one business day. Non-emergency service — for medical emergencies call 911.
